My least favorite is Phantom Menace, which I have tried to like but just can't watch without getting bored. IMO Jar Jar was a total disaster!!!!!
George Lucas was seduced by the dark side. The OOT ceased to exist in his mind and became the Special Editions...." "They're more maching now than movies. Twisted and evil."

Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope.

Attack of the Clones, by far. Hayden Christensen looked like a Backstreet Boy stunt double or something if you ask me. Plus I think Zam Wesell was underused, and the creatures in the execution pit seemed to much like something out of a Ray Harryhausen movie.

I'd have to say AOTC as well. But with a little more careful editing, it could have been up there with ROTJ.

“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

I don't really HATE any Star Wars movie, to be honest, even the prequels, but my least favorite is The Phantom Menace. Besides the fact that all the space vehicles looked like they just came off the showroom floor, and it introduced the hightly ineffectual battle droids, it just left you thinking, "What in the world does this movie have to do with anything?!" They really could have just started off with Attack of the Clones, and you really won't have felt like you were missing anything. Still, the lightsaber duel admittedly kicked ass.

I was tempted to wonder how in the world anybody could pick Star Wars as their least favorite Star Wars movie (and I guess I'm still doing that) since it started it off, its plot fell back so well on the familiar archetypes, it was nominated for best picture, etc., etc. And while I still don't see how people can pick that one as their least favorite, it really is a subjective thing, and, just because it was first and just because it did this and did that isn't necessarily a reason to like it. But I like it. It's fun, it's thrilling, it's classic!

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

More and more Attack of the Clones just turns me off. The terrible fireplace seaons are worse than any of the wooden, but not painful dialogue in TMP, and Duel of the Fates beats the fights in AotC any day.

And the Podrace rocked. Revenge was a vast improvment over both, and the OT is better by default because it has Han and Luke.

So Clones is my least favorite.

I prefered MagnoliaFan's altered podrace, personally, if only for the music.

I love them all like I love my future children. One or two of them will be ugly so their Christmas presents won't be as big, but I'll still love them nonetheless.

Well, which two are the ugly ones...? Uh, this is Santa Claus, and I need to know which ones to give less presents to!

Oh man...Okay.

I like being a positive person as much as possible, so here goes...if I were stranded on a desert island with only two Star Wars movies to watch until I was either eaten by a ravenous monkey or starved to death I would pick - Star Wars and Revenge of the Sith

I love the other films though, just not as much. Star Wars is my all time 2nd favourite movie next to 'Raiders' and 'Revenge' is just the new hotness right now.

I know I should saw 'Empire' is the best...but...well...holy shite, why didn't I say 'Empire?'

Heh, sorry, TheCassidy. And there really doesn't have to be anything extremely negative about saying your least favorite Star Wars movie. It doesn't necessarily mean that you don't like it. It simply means that you like the others better.

I don't like the prequels, but picking one prequel that I like less than the others is... tricky. I try to regard all three prequels as equally annoying.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

All three of the prequels! Dung Dung Dung!!!
"Drink the Kool-Aid. Wear blinders. Cover your ears. Because that's the only way you can totally enjoy Revenge of the Sith -- the final and most futile attempt from skilled producer, clumsy director and tin-eared writer George Lucas to create a prequel trilogy to match the myth-making spirit of the original Star Wars saga he unleashed twenty-eight years ago. Fan boys, of course, have convinced themselves otherwise. So have several critics, if you go by early reviews."

I hate to label any of the films as my "least favorite," but it would have to be AOTC.

Attack of the Clones.

So much missed potential here, especially the romance. Not where the story needed to go, and they had to make up for in RotS (which they did).

The Phantom Menace is my least favorite.

I actually enjoy the story because it sets up the whole saga nicely. But I think Lucas lost touch with the audience after 16 years away from the camera. There was just too much childish jokes in this movie. But to me the biggest reason it is the worst is JAR JAR. Six years later, everytime I watch it he still drives me nuts! He is so damn annoying, and just overshadows every scene he is in. You take him out, or limit his role, and this turns out to be a very good Star Wars movie. Jar Jar was probably the biggest miscalculation by George Lucas ever. Oh well-
