I'd be interested to take a look - I have been looking at tracking scene portions to be able to comp in 'pieces' of video - I'd be surprised if the pan and scan LDs are good enough quality to use for this, but I haven't seen them, so I would like a look.
If they were of a high enough quality , it could work.
If people don't know what I mean, we are talking about how one could use the DVD and fix scenes where there has been something 'added' to the scene for the special editions. A quick and dirty example is below, comping a piece from the Definitive LD into a DVD scene.
