Yeah, the new ESB Emperor is crap, and I'm not just saying it because I'm a traditioanlist or anything like that, it just looks lame. I also think the new hologram is too clear and modern looking. Any way of merging a shot of the Emperor from ROTJ with the mouth of the new one and then editing it so the dialogue is as close to the original as possible?
Difficult and complicated I'm sure and, while I know I could do a good job of it on a single frame in photoshop, I don't know how feasible it is with a moving image.
Or maybe just paint the hood to cover his eyes like it does in Jedi? That could work and would probably be easier. And cover the turtle-like neck with shadow.
I would rather see this fixed properly than some window in cloud city.
