No this was like last month. My guess is that the Master they made for the Bluray was not intended to be screened and when a DCP was asked for they just gave them what they had because of lazyness.

There’s also a bunch of odd reframes, there that POV shot of gandalf in Bag End which looks fine on the TE but has a weird vingette edge on the left side in the EE for no reason. Very odd indeed.

Like i say its a very lazy remaster, I’d hope that the inevidable 4K release goes back to the neg and DI and does it again.
