Someday there will be just one company that runs the entire world. It will be called “GloboChem.”

I doubt they’ll be sold back to FOX, otherwise why would Fox be selling them to begin with?

21st c. fox is keeping FS1 and other national sports networks it owns. They seem to want out of the local sports business.

Dammit, how am I going to be able to keep up with my local Foosball championships?

Maybe with all the extra cash, Disney will finally be able to afford to restore and release the OUT. 😛

As the government decided to contest the Time-Warner/AT&T deal again at the 11th hour, I’ll believe it when I see it. 😉

Why do people find this to be good news? Disney monopolizing the industry isn’t good.

  • The chances we’ll get an official release of the OOT will increase by 1%.
  • The lame X-Men movies will be force-fitted into the Marvel Homogenized Universe, pleasing the fanboys who think this is at all necessary.
  • Disney will finally get their turn to mishandle the Fantastic Four.

And the Fox logos and fanfares finally restored and intact indefinitely to SW I, II, III, V, and VI! 😃

Would be nice to have Episode IX open with a Fox fanfare, but I doubt it.

With the merger I hope 20th Century Fox becomes the main source of Disney’s R-rated movies, a role previously done by Miramax and Touchstone (in case you forgot, The Rock and Con Air are Disney movies released through their Touchstone label).

They have one less feeble excuse for not releasing it now though. Let us hope the next time someone is in the position to ask Kennedy the ultimate question they ask it properly.
