The blue elephant in the room.
I just saw someone elsewhere online call the Indiana Jones movies “indie film” and I was confused for a second.
.
Maybe it was a typo.
The Person in Question
No, I think they just spell “Indy” that (wrong) way.

I don’t know what either of your reasons are.

“A good estimate for a 90 minute movie shot on Super 16 recans at a 4-1 ratio would be $5,625 for film stock if you pay $125 per roll. If you are willing to use short ends this cost would go down.”
Thank you Snooker!

And thus, the end of the digital v. film debate.
Depends on how much you like film. Cinema quality digital cameras aren’t cheap either. And then there’s the cost of backing up the storage drives every few years vs. putting some reels in the vault. Film still wins that one.
Where were you in '77?
I must be old fashioned to be shocked at hearing a young girl drop about a dozen or so F bombs at a companion passing outside in the street tonight. Used to only take one to get the soap!

It was at least a 4/40.
This one however is a 1/20.
But most things I say are at least 3/13.
