Yes but I don’t know how that has anything to do with what I said. Writer’s rooms are committees. Yes there’s a head writer but the blanket statement “good things don’t come from a committee” isn’t true.
I’d say not quite. Yeah, both are groups of people, but the implication that comes with ‘committee’ is a complete lack of regard for creativity. Ideally, with a writer’s room the creative aspect of the process is the focus… that might then get skewed by a network exec committee enforcing whatever they think will sell.
Semantics, but I feel they’re important here 😛
