Eh, I don’t know. The only way to truly be creative and tell new stories is to stop listening to the fans and go your own way. The only problem is the people in charge of this show didn’t have a clear vision, and it felt like a desperate attempt to be “edgy and cool”, at the expense of the source material. When that failed, of course they would look at the other show and try to ape its success. This show is a joke.

Full disclosure: I have not watched a single episode of either show, lmao. And from everything I’ve seen, that doesn’t look to be changing soon.
