I think it’s still up in the air whether it’s associated with that or not. Some people are starting to associate it, but it’s not really caught on. So yes and no.
There also may be more people like me out there that have no idea of any sinister meaning to the okay symbol and just think it means “okay”.
There is sort of a sinister meaning to it, in that you’re supposed to get punched for noticing it.
