How has this topic not been made?

I love cars. I don’t think I’m surprising anyone by saying I’m from the United States, and cars have always been a pretty big deal here.

When I think of generic cars, I think of any sedan from the 1990s:

Just the blandest thing to ever grace the earth, with nothing particularly distinctive to set it apart from any other car.

But when I think of cars, one of the first to come to mind is the 1960 Corvette:

How about you? What do you think of when you hear the word? What’s your favorite?

Honestly, my goal when looking for a car is to find the blandest one that blends in the most, while also being highly reliable with low lifetime maintenance costs.

My next car probably will be a Camry hybrid.

Guess I’m just not much of a “car guy,” despite growing up with a parent that had a classic Barracuda as a project car every few years.

Sounds like another way to rebel against your parents, as everyone does, lmao. With all the developments happening lately (or more like the past 10 or 15 years), it really feels like that classic car culture is dying off a bit.

I love old Mercedes, my favorite is the 300SL. I actually saw someone driving one once in Atlanta.

Citroën 2CV, so awesome (I would give up my current Peugeot for one without hesitation, well one can still dream 😄). When I was a kid, my parents have had all 3 or 4 2CVs over the years, I was so damn proud. It’s a collector car now, so it ain’t exactly cheap…

As a kid, I thought it would be great to have one of these someday:

The blue elephant in the room.

The best thing about Cars is Heartbeat City (the song).

I saw one of those in the parking lot at Walgreens a couple of years ago (also red & white). It was really nice.
