I said a can of crushed tomatoes. Not a crushed can of tomatoes. What I really mean is diced skinned tomatoes that I smushed a little bit with a potato masher. How my mom always does it/refers to them.

it was a response to Dahmage eating brains. Something I can’t get myself to do. It’s not even the mad cow potential. It’s just gross. And I’m an adventurous eater.

My parents had an irrational fear of mad cow during that “outbreak” about 10-15 years ago. Probably saved them hours by not saying “disease” every time. It stuck I guess.
