agreed that henderson isn’t “at it” in most games if you compare it to neymar, and that’s why the “double standard” is ok, but i do believe neymar is overly criticized.
poor choice of words by me, i agree, so i’m sorry for that, but it seems to me that Henderson exaggerated a lot on that specific headbutt play, much like Neymar when the mexican guy who i can’t recall the name right now literally stepped on his bad and recovering ankle. i bet that hurt a lot. of course he acted out a much worse pain than the one he was actually feeling, but that specific guy deserved a red card for all he did to him that game, so i think that that’s one of the reasons for the exaggeration.
wednesday’s game was the first brazil game where Neymar left the field with his socks all in one piece. so yeah, while he exaggerates wayy to much and is heavily criticized by it, i think the press and people in general are way too harsh on him, because most defensive players that play against him tend to always beat the crap out of him. at least in the World Cup that’s how it’s been.
now, maguire… i’ll see if i can find his play.
i was under the impression that yesterday’s game’s referee was terrible. what did you think?
edit: just rewatched the maguire play, and right after it he immediately said that it wasn’t a penalty, so my bad.
