The transition between the shot of Obi-Wan and Threepio in the cockpit of Padme’s ship to the shot of Anakin’s mechanical hand clawing at the ground before the Emperor arrives to pick him up and Vaderize him is a wipe in the theatrical cut and on the Blu-Ray, but on the DVD it’s a hard cut.
