I mean, Vader is often referred to as Lord, which I’d have used anyway. But yeah.

Yeah, but that’s not much better.
“What am I gonna name my bad guy? Well, he’s a tyrant, so…”
I know that Vader’s name is also just changing a real word around, but it also sounds awesome. Not Tryanous.
Correction Vader was actually based off of a Flash Gordon villain. The whole father Vader bit wasn’t developed until draft 2-3 of ESB.
Yeah, but that’s not much better.

I wasn’t talking about his character or the father thing, I was talking about how his name was a jumble up of Dark Invader --> Darth Vader.
I just looked that up to check and apparently George said something else but who knows with that guy.

According to the book The Secret History Of Star Wars the name for Darth Vader has nothing to do with invaders dark or otherwise.
Okay.
I don’t blame you though Snooker. George has said several different things over the decades and different ideas have spread online over the years that it is hard to figure out what is the truth about a lot of the origins of Star Wars.
The Secret History of Star Wars is definitely a fun book to check out if you’re ever interested in reading about that kind of stuff.
I’m pretty sure that’s worse. I personally like the name Dooku, but whatever floats your boat.
I’m used to the name Dooku, but it really sounds like “doo-doo”.
Here’s fallen Jedi Master Kaido, I guess:

Kaido is the best name for Doodoo so far.
Reading R + L ≠ J theories
Fun fact: I threw the word ‘fallen’ into Google translate and tried a few languages to see if anything sounded nice. I landed on the Spanish word ‘caído’.

Hey Snooker, when your DAJ edit comes out will it have a editable subtitles? say someone wanted to replace someone’s name with an other.

Yep.

Here’s some of that fight. I’ve slowed down their swings and removed a few spins to bring it more in line with the OT fights.
Very nice. I’ve always disliked the pirouettes. Why would you choose to give you opponent a chance to stab you in the back?
Exactly.

Are we all aware of what Dooku means in Portugese?

Nothing important

Christopher Lee’s character’s name was changed from “Count Dooku” in English to “Conde Dookan” in Portuguese. This is because “Conde Dooku” would be pronounced “Con-gee du coo”. This sounds like “Conde do Cu” which translated roughly to “Count from the asshole”.
