Horror Movie Recommendations.

I’ve been itching to catch up on some horror films, seeing as I’ve just gone on school holidays so I’ll have some free time. Which horror films would you recommend?

I recently saw Get Out, which was pretty good.

Picture of Dorian Gray is a good watch. It’s based on a victorian novel, which makes it better. It’s my favourite horror movie.

When’s something gonna happen?

Wow, thank you very much. I haven’t actually seen the original Psycho so I should probably check that one out first. And also the first Exorcist seeing as you recommended the third one.

Yeah I was a little puzzled by you recommending the third but not the first exorcist. But not worth mentioning. But now it’s been mentioning it so I’m voicing my confusion. I don’t watch it anymore because I just don’t think I can handle the harrowing and crushing atmosphere that film alone gives off any more, i don’t want that kind of energy in my home any more. But it’s an excellent film.

I assumed he’d seen it already.

I love that kind of atmosphere. I want more of it in my home.

Just saw it recently. Not sure how it qualifies.

Off the top of my head, besides what’s been mentioned, I’d say the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Horror isn’t my genre but…

The first Halloween is a classic. I saw it first time in my 20s and it still disturbed me, which is something I want from a horror movie. It is cinematically very well made.

I recently watched Hell Night starring Linda Blair, it was a good 80’s slasher film. I like low-budget horror films.

If you have 90’s nostalgia, besides Scream & Scream 2 (the rest are bad) I remember I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel with Jennifer Love Hewitt being fine popcorn horror movies.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

I’ve only watched the first half hour of Nightcrawler so far but it’s horror because it’s called “Nightcrawler.”
