Wanted to see a Solo film but was not interested in the origin story. Was hoping for a series of action sci fi films of his non-connected exploits. Like the Indiana Jones Trilogy.

I really do not need to understand the source of his tragedy/loneliness. I dont want the further romanticization of his character. That was already handled in the OT.

Just Solo + Chewie + Falcon and occasional Lando put into various situations. Add some comedy and witty dialog and you got success. No depth required. No need to interconnect.
