^ Pleasing to see and hopefully there’ll be more to come.

A similar thing has occurred with the Labour Party in the UK - a once proud leftist party that chased the central/floating/business vote for so long… it lost it almost became detached from it’s roots and it’s traditional support (many of whom left or became disillusioned) - and lost ground in doing so.

Now things in the Party are considerably different (with the Party being re-structured to give average people a larger say in how the Party is run) - and the last election, where many analysts and pundits thought Labour would be almost wiped out, actually came close to defeating the Tories. With more young and disaffected people joining Labour all the time… whilst the Tories resort to clinging to power with £b bribes with some unsavoury characters from Northern Ireland on a power-grab - people see that - and won’t likely forget it… let alone the uncertainly and lack of plan for Brexit and post-Brexit deals, Grenfell, NHS and so on…

Back to the US…

I hope this (and hopefully other similar results) can be a catalyst for the Democrats - right now I don’t know who your leader is, what the Party is standing for, what they are calling up Trump and Republicans on, what their plan is - how they plan to defeat Trump… as the news cycle seems to be dominated by Trump and the circus he has created. As a Brit, that’s not a problem here in the UK - though I hope this view isn’t representative of what is actually happening in the US.

Well done Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
