Regarding note 6, here’s my suggestion:
Cut things like this…Obi Wan sees Anakin off with Padme
Cut to OWK taking the poison dart to the droids for analysis (cut scene from AOTC)
Trim the scene so we just see the droids inspecting it.
Cut to OWK in the Jedi Temple library learning that the system isn’t in their archives.
Cut the rest, younglings, Yoda all that.
What this does is make OWK less of an idiot. He knows the name of the planet, he knows that something underhanded is up because it’s scrubbed from the Jedi archives, he knows the area that he needs to go to in order to find it.
Eliminating other scenes cuts out OWK running around announcing that something foul is afoot, it deletes a scene that is too stiff (younglings) and per your goal keeps things moving along. There really isn’t a payoff in the next movie with the young Jedi being killed, that’s always been a weak scene and if a lot of what constitutes it happens offscreen the better.
