Leia and Vader

I was watching ANH last night and Leia's lines when she first seens Vader ("vader, only you could be so bold") and Tarkin ("foul stench when I was bought aboard") made me think: she obviously had met both before, in the imperial senate, or in other political situations. Maybe Vader WAS in Alderaan once, and talked to her about her "merciful missions" and whatever.

My point is: what about Bail Organa? Wasn't him at least a liiiiittle bit scared to have Leia and Vader together in the same room? I mean, he knows Vader is Anakin, right? At any moment Vader could feel something and say "Waaait a second... Bail Organa, you feelings betray you! Leia is my daughter!". Am I right?

It is a definite possibility about Vader reading Bail's thoughts. However, it may have been a single encounter with Bail and with as many people in the Senate as there are, I wonder if Vader would have been cognizant enough to know to read Bail's thoughts. Having Leia and Vader together isn't that big a deal. They may not have even interacted at all. And Bail can't stop her from going without raising warning flags in Leia's mind as a result.

does Bail know? maybe he thinks Anakin died and that Vader is a completely different person, in jedi Obi-wan says they children were hidden from the Emperor not Vader, maybe this is what Bail though was going on.

Well, I'm sure Obi-Wan thought that he'd killed Vader, but, even in recluse on Tatooine, Ben knows Vader is alive. I suppose you can attribute it to the Force.

i think that at the end of sith they think anakin is dead, however, it wouldnt be long for them to see that he is stil alive, they knew he's name was vader as it was, so when they saw this big black dude named vader they would have made the connection.

Yeah, but Ben would have been in seclusion for all that time. I'm sure Bail would have seen him, though. I wonder if Ben would have even known what Vader looked like until they faced each other the second time.

did they know he was vader? I cant remember if they were aware of him being refered to as vader. it may have come up during the fight, also during the holo cam recording...but this would only inform Obi-Wan and Yoda of it, not Bail.

Also, I found the book explained this (and other things) a whole lot better. I dont want to put out book spoilers, but if you read the book you'll know what im talking about. or if you want to know how without reading the book send me a pm and ill explain. (i guess i could just post it with spoiler warnings too, maybe ill do that later when i get home)
