Stephen Colbert’s star wars bit on the late show was not funny.

This one?:-

I found it somewhat funny - though the point it making was more important than the humour (for me, anyway).

I didn’t think it was funny but it’s late night comedy, that’s pretty much what I expect.

And I agree that the point it was making is more important anyway.

It’s over Obi-wan, I have the Soccer ground!

😃

On Hayden’s profile pic for the Soccer Aid it also has his weakness down as ‘tendency to choke😉

Fair play to him for doing it - not easy playing alongside some world-class talented legends of the game - and fellow celebrities, many who’ve also played to a decent level. He gave up a week to do it (training and bonding together etc) and did a good job for his team, and was decent himself.

I love how he’s so powerful now that he doesn’t even need a lightsaber hilt to produce a red blade.

They told me they’d fixed it!

Hey does anyone have a source to the prequel trilogy Japanese audio tracks?

“Get over violence, madness and death? What else is there?”

WE THOUGHT ABOUT FIXING IT FOR A NANOSECOND BUT REALIZED IT WOULD BE MORE FUN TO WATCH HUMANS HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT

Well, this is going to based on Doctor Sleep which is King’s sequel to his own novel, but Kubrick’s version casts a long shadow. (And they sure aren’t going to tie it to the 1997 miniseries King did.) People are going to wonder why Shelley Duvall and Danny Lloyd aren’t in this either way.

Star Wars and The Shining have crossed paths before. They couldn’t start building sets for ESB at Elstree until Kubrick finished shooting his film. (And the fire that destroyed one of the soundstages was another delay.) Fake snow from The Shining was allegedly recycled for Hoth.

Has there been mentioned anywhere why DS II is always showed in the same angle in ROTJ? They built the full model but in every full shot it’s always exactly the same position. Did they even have video of it or is it just a single shot in front of a blue screen?

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

It’s not always shown from exactly the same angle…

Also, did you know all shots of the model are flipped in the film? The unfinished construction is actually on the other side.

Okay, except in one shot. 😛

I was at work and you could just about here this playing from outside the office.

And then someone randomly said… “this reminds me of the end of Star Wars…”
