There are a lot of movies out there that people enjoy but don’t necessarily love. Just seems weird that you have an attitude like “it shouldn’t even exist.”

I think my attitude is, “Why does it exist?”

It just seems like such a wasted opportunity.

I thought it was boring compared to its predecessors, and occasionally fell into moments of self-parody, but it’s not terrible or anything. Half-hearted is an apt description.

Not to mention it tries to be different, but it’s too scared to not be familiar, so it fails at doing the new stuff, and it fails at doing the old stuff.

by the way, i totally disagree here. Spielberg once said, and i quote “it’s a blood relative to the other three pictures”. so while i think the first part of your post is right, i disagree completely with the second.

Why do you disagree?
