Any idea on how i can get a copy of this (NTSC)? I PM'ed Editous in early June, but I'm sure he was swamped with requests at the time. I could definetly pass this along to US folk, as the place I work at has just got a DVD duplicator.

Yup sorry dark_jedi, that's my bad, I should have cloned the dvd, whereas I just copied the movie. Here I uploaded the label for you tho. I think IIRC Darth Editous stated he wasn't making a cover for it because he was just going to put it in his trilogy case.

In case anyone else is downloading the JPEG on that link, note that the labels are different for the NTSC and PAL versions. One has a P serial number and one has an N serial number.

DE, any plans to work on Empire and Jedi? I would love to see that.

Plans, oh yes, there are plans. Unfortunately my list of things to do for ESB is almost as long as the one for ANH, so it's a bit daunting.

You're replacing all the Ewoks with Wookiees in ROTJ right? And Chewbacca is their god?

Hi everyone,

My first post here after I just joined recently, spent most of my time just trying to catch up and learn all the various edits and preservations out there.

First of all I just wanted to say a big thank you to Darth Editous for all his hard work, it looks enough to drive anyone isane.

I know we all appreciate someone who had has gone in and sorted out all the new mistakes and even sorted old ones, half of which I didn't even know was there.

Now onto the cheeky part, would anyone be kind enough to provide a PAL copy of this I would be most grateful. Please PM me details.

Thanks for your time and for making this board great.

I'd also like to congratulate Darth Editous' work on, in my humble opinion, the best of the Star Wars movies...

The list of changes is mind boggling and the fact that there are some obvious errors that the team in ILM didn't even pick up on is just plain mental

I live in the UK and would love to have a copy of this, even as a guide so I can produce perhaps... my own Episode IV edit from the DVD's

Could anyone help me out?

Indeed, and it's only thanks to the support of my talking pet squirrel Steven that I've kept hold of my marbles.

Every movie is full of mistakes that you don't normally notice. I just thought I'd fix them while I was doing the big stuff.

Darth Editous, just wondering what programs you used for your morphs? Those publicly available or something of your own devising?

Ooh, a laserdisc. The Cheat's playin' something on a laserdisc.

Hey DE, Love almost all of your edits and am gonna be picking one up myself. Anyway, my question is, I know you fixed all the frame jumps with the lightsabers, but did you actually recolor them in certain places (mainly in Obi-Wan's hut and especially on the Falcon where the Saber is almost completely white)? A screenshot would be nice

Also, would you say the visual quality is on par with the ofiicial DVD?

Check out Page 2 of this thread.

Yes, it's every bit as good as the official DVD (quality-wise) & IMO the best edit of ANH yet! Followed closely by the Classic Edition of course.

No I've seen those pics already, I'm referring to the close up shot of luke where he is centered in the camera. does the saber look just like it does in the other pics?

Hehe, thought that was the case, but I didn't want to say that in case you did work on your own script and I offended you!

Darth Editous,

Sounds like everyone should have a Pet squirrel Steven just to help us along.

Sorry boba feta I was trying hard not to muck up my first post and forgot to mention that I'm in the UK. Although I'm more than happy to pay for delivery from anywhere really.

No, in most cases I left the sabres as they are. The colours are all over the place in that scene anyway, really, though in hindsight I could have recoloured some of the shots.

DE, would you post your list of proposed ESB changes? Maybe some of us can chip in with suggestions?
