Great- thanks. So most questions are answered:

So all of the theatrical versions of all films in the saga sported subtitles in ITC Franklin Gothic Demi Bold.

Actually, I believe that on disc 2 of AOTC (when the deleted scenes are being discussed), there are clips of the original version of AOTC- with the original subtitles. I'll have to check.

What font was used for the subtitles in later VHS and laserdisc releases of the SW trilogy?

AlternateGotNo3D and Impact come pretty close, but no exact match.

So I only have a few remaining questions:

1. What fonts were used for the ending credits of the SW movies? Were the classic trilogy end credit fonts different from the prequels?

2. What font was used for the original version of "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away" (not prequels, because it was done incorrectly)

3. Do all subtitles in the saga fade in and fade out as they do in the prequels? How long is the fade-in and fade-out?

Thanks for your help!
