I agree, the movie doesn’t really need a fanedit. The only thing I would like to see go is Darth Maul however I suspect that we’re going to see a lot more of him in future installments so we’re stuck with him.
My wife and I both loved L3 and the audience in the theater that we saw it in responded very well to that character. We wish that there was more of her and Disney is getting the new robots right (BB8, K2, L3…hmmm is the next one M4?) but why do they have to kill 'em off?

There are two issues with the movie for me and I don’t know if they are fixable. One, the movie is too damn dark. Two, I don’t need non-stop music, especially mixed higher in the sound like this one was. One of the things that I loved about the Twin Peaks revival was Lynch’s use of long takes that allowed the viewer to see the environment and the fact that he let the story speak for itself, the franchise folks should take a long hard look at what he did because he owns the remake/reboot/restart-it thing in my book.

There was some great world building in this, I think that a lot of the very beginning of the movie wasn’t needed at all, I would have happily traded all the Corellia gang stuff for more Corellia world building as an environment (not a let’s plunge you right into conflict from “GO”).
