Have you noticed hal, as an editor, in more recent movies are deleted scenes added to the Bluray in their unfinished versions rather than becoming fodder for editors
Just my take: but fanediting is such a niche hobby that few people know it exists. I don’t believe studios aren’t sharing their deleted scenes because of fanedits, but rather just because of a lack of interest among casual moviegoers. They probably see it as more work to put together, and some of the clips are often unfinished or may have issues or mistakes the studio or director doesn’t want to share publicly, so they’re just choosing not to do it anymore.
