Here's the problem with that though--if people followed that mindset--THIS PLACE WOULDN'T EXIST. If people didn't like what they were watching, they'd just STOP WATCHING IT. They wouldn't have gone to a laserdisc and figured out the best way to pull information off of it. They wouldn't have sat in front of a program and tinkered with the sound. They wouldn't have hunkered over photoshop and cloned every inch. None of that wouldn't have happened, because they would have just "STOPPED" once they deemed it unlikable enough that out of all the people in the world, THEY needed to change it.
There is no way ANYONE on this board really gets to say "If you don't like it, just don't pitch in" because this whole BOARD is about people who don't like things pitching in. There's no way around it. You can't have it both ways. Yes a lot of people here are civil, but they're civil because they're being just as hostile. Lemme explain: They're just being hostile to a set of people that don't post here, which makes any possible drama go WAY down. And every now and again you have your flare-ups, but for the most part, the reason you're all getting along is that the set of people you're tearing, mercilessly, limb from limb, are people who doesn't post here--and I'm NOT talking about people at other messageboards. This board isn't REALLY all that much better tempered than any other. It just feels that way
