  • Removing Snoke berating Hux at the end of the opening battle

I can get behind that. Not for just Hux’s sake, but for Snoke too. Snoke is an older, wiser leader who would not berate is generals in front of his “underlings.”

Think about those under Hux’s command. It would be terrible for moral if the men/women under Hux’s command to loose respect, or not take him seriously, if hux was pretty much spanked in front of them in a humiliating way.

For Snoke, it takes away from his character. I don’t see Snoke reflecting their personality of a Trump-like personality to be honest. (Not being political in any way, just based on personality and power position)

Heck, Snoke didn’t make a big fuss when starkiller base was destroyed.

I say this in respect to how Snoke presents himself in the open. Of course behind closed doors with his high position commanders/generals he would not hold back on them since they are in his “inner circle.”

By doing this to Hux, it cuts down on him personally. Yes he is Nazi-like and he should be cut down a peg or too. But that scene is just not necessary. The opening dialogue/scene with Poe and Hux has a perfect balance that does not demean Hux.

So personally I see two options. The first would be what Darth Rush did is ending the scene after the rebels make the jump with Hux look of panic and disbelief.

As an alternate to that idea, add the dialogue of the FO officer saying her line about Snoke hailing Hux and end on Hux’s expression.

Both those work but the alternate Segways nicely on the next time you see Hux he is with Snoke.
