I had a feeling but wasn’t confident enough to guess.

That’s interesting, I thought they’d agreed on a final offer. I suspect Disney will bid higher. I think they want to keep pursuing their monopoly.

They should just put Fox on Ebay. Not like anybody would put in a punk bid? 😛

Where’s that #1,000,000,000,000 bill from that Simpsons episode when I need it?

Now I’m picturing a Craigslist ad for 20th Century Fox.

FOR SALE: One slightly used movie studio, searchlights included. Local pickup only.

Or sell the Marvel stuff and Star Wars to Disney? I presume Disney wants that most of all…

Yeah, that’s probably their main desire, but they definitely want to continue monopolizing the industry regardless. Even if Fox didn’t have stakes in Marvel and Star Wars, Disney would’ve made an offer I’m sure.

Fox should demand cash, all in $2 bills. 😛

From the sound of that, I agree. I can’t recall any memorable villian from the Marvel movies other than Loki and Purple Karen Gillian (and only because I know who Karen Gillian is).

Sorry to be pedantic, but she’s blue, not purple.

Holy crap, I forgot I even posted that. Pretty sure I said purple because of the Thanos relation.

With the last legal hurdle over the AT&T/Time Warner deal cleared, it’s more than likely Comcast is going to up their bid for Fox.

I don’t understand why Comcast wants Fox in the first place. The deal doesn’t include the TV channels, right?

I don’t understand, TV channels? They want it for the same reason Disney does.

I think of Comcast as a cable/internet company. And I thought Disney wanted it because they want to unite the rights to their properties and to continue to build a monopoly. I admit I’m not the most informed on this matter, though.

Comcast is basically an entertainment company like Disney at this point. They own Universal, NBC, and a variety of other companies. Disney certainly wants some of those leftover Marvel rights, but who else doesn’t want a piece of that action if they can get it. Plus that’s just one small aspect. No one would pay that many digits just for X-Men, Fantastic Four and Star Wars 1-6 distribution.

Ah, alright. I’m kind of curious what a Comcast Fox would look like. Comcast is just the worst, though, so I’d rather they not.

Fox has an impressive film and tv library, even without Star Wars or the Marvel stuff.

Maybe I’ll finally get that Titan A.E. sequel I’ve been waiting 18 years for. 😉
