The Star Wars trilogy had just become sorta a fond memory for me prior to the '97 SE's. I had bought the Definitve laserdisc set which satisfied me at the time

but when the SE's came out I started to worry. And then the rumblings that the OT 'didn't exist' anymore started from GL and I assumed he had fallen over the proverbial edge.

Then the PT. Saw 'em all in the theater on opening day, gave them chances, liked 'em less and less. And now here we are.
