Well, I dunno about it "killing them" per se. But, in this day and age, a lawsuit filed for emotional distress and verbal abuse (maybe libel as well, or is it slander when it's verbal?) is likely. At least here in the States.

It's not just the States; several of the provinces in Canada have instituted state-run auto insurance programmes with no-fault in order to cut down on the outrageous claims that happen in negligence suits and (theoretically) keep premiums low.
Everyone everywhere is lawsuit happy. At least it'll keep me working... lol. I'm avoiding personal injury law like the plague it is.

Oooh... personal injury law! Then we can see TV commercials of Gundark Hunter saying "hi, my name is Gundark Hunter. Have you been injured recently and need somebody to represent you? I can do that!" I hate TV commercial lawyers. Gundark as the next Lionel Hutz. Woo hoo!

But seriously, at least the Canadian government is trying to crack down on the frivolity of it all. I give them credit for that much.

Won't happen, period. Doesn't matter who the president is. The only way it would change was if we lived in a military controlled government and I would not be a fan of that.
