he hasnt been completely removed, but huge sections of the movie which focus mainly on him have been cut. including the entire underwater scene, the pod race and the gungan battle at the end. i was under the impression that this was the original phantom edit. is that actually available anywhere and is there somewhere i could find a comparison between all the edits?
