the idea of going to the church and listening to the priest and strictly following what is said in the bible or something doesn’t fly my way at all.
It’s not about rules, though. And going to church is not a requirement. It’s about having a relationship with God, and growing that relationship through prayer (talking to Him), and fellowship (talking to each other). Sitting in a church service simply to warm a pew doesn’t do much in either regard. Church is not required, but fellowship is still very important. For myself, I wouldn’t get very much out of church if I didn’t also go to sunday school (my church calls it Life Group) to connect with my friends and have a short bible study in a small group.
