Depends how you define heavy and honestly I’d probably say it isn’t any heavier than his other work.
You might as well go chronologically though and watch Days of Heaven next.

I was pretty enthralled with this. I can see it having a lot of rewatch value and I would love to find a good analysis of the ending but can’t track one down that helps clarify it enough.
