I’m sure Bladerunner wasn’t designed to have a sequel made thirty-five years later, but it still got one and that doesn’t mean it was bad or anything. I don’t even like the fourth Indy movie and I don’t rewatch it ever when I revisit the series, but that’s because I don’t like it, not because it was a needless sequel. Rocky also was much more obviously concluded with the intent that it wouldn’t have a sequel. “There ain’t gonna be no rematch.” “Don’t want one.” But we got six anyway and some of them are great.
