Ok the initial shock has (almost) worn off.

So in your process to recover the stars (hey that sounds like a great movie title), you've got what sounds like a temporal re-noiser.

Wouldn't the process in theory allow you to improve the quality of the whole movie's capture?
Just an idle thought.
