Sorry for so many posts in a row; I’m just responding to plenty of people. If mods can fuse posts, this would be a good time to use that power. I could move this all to one post, but then we’d just have a bunch of empty posts…
Anyway, my turn now.
I agree with Handman that the most disappointing aspect is that the story doesn’t feel like it needed to be told. Like you guys said, that really comes down to whether you like the story or not. My problem is that it’s a retread of the Rebels versus Empire dynamic that feels completely out of place, and is not what I came to see. The Empire was defeated three decades ago, show me something new. The Prequels had no problem doing that.
The most satisfying aspect…yeah, I’m gonna go with Kylo Ren too.
