I have been meaning to ask this for a while but continue to forget:
Can someone help me in the process of going about to burn movie files on your comptuer (Such as MPEGS, WMVs, and AVIs) onto blank DVDs. My brother and I have been trying this for a few hours now with lackluster results...
Actually I missed this before. Chaltab, have you figured it out? If not you should read up at http://www.videohelp.com/ where they have LOTS of great tutorials about all aspects of DVD.
what does DVDXCopy have to do with anything in this post.
He's talking about converting avi's and the like and burning them to a dvd, in what i assume is dvd format, not about making copies of retail dvds.
but since you brought it up, can you still get the DVDXcopy registered/activated (even in Canada). As far as I know the servers are 'shut down' or at least dont allow activation of 'new' product. If there is a way to get a copy activated PM or email me.

Anyway, for a very user friendly, yet time consuming, solution you should probably use Nero 6.0 to convert the files to VCD. Its as simple as point, click, burn.
I did it when I was first starting out and it will even let you put a menu(but a very rudimentary one). It depends on how big the file is, but it'd probably be wise to start on a thick novel to pass the time while its converting.
