For all of you people petitioning for Geroge Lucas to release the original Star Wars trilogy and currently refusing to buy the current DVD edition, if the OT was ever released, would you...

1. Buy the Special Edition AND the Original Trilogy?

or...

2. Just buy the Original Trilogy?

If I had the money, I'd get the SEs (I assume you mean the 2004 editions?), since they connect better with the PT, so you could watch 4, 5, 6 (OT), 1, 2, 3 then 4, 5, 6 (SEs)

Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here, this is the war room!

Depends on what you mean. If you mean as one box set, maybe, depending on price. If seperate, than I'd only buy the OOT. The only way the SE is in my house is if it's a fan edit like Darth Editous', or if I have to buy it to get the OOT, in which case I'd never be played.

Made for IE Forum's Episode III theme month - May 2005.

If I didn't already own the 2004 set, if the originals were released, I would definitely not buy the SSE. The only reason I got this set to begin with was because I was not yet familiar with these boards and thought it was the only way I could get the movies on a format that wouldn't wear out. And, at the time I pre-ordered, I didn't know that the alterations would be even more extensive than the ones in the '97 edition, so I figured, "Kinda Star Wars is better than no Star Wars at all."

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don’t exist… then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks… and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

i'll buy anything with new worthwhile extras on it...i'm a completist in that regard.

i'm glad I have the 2004 set because it's got a near-complete collection of trailers, some commercials, what I think is a really good making-of doc for the trilogy, and unique commentaries.

as i've said before, it also looks remarkable to my eyes, so i'm happy to watch it alongside my OOT DVDs.

Originals only, for me.
Then I'd break up the set and give ROTJ away.
