A lot of people said that the prequels didn’t work primarily because the story didn’t need to be told, but any story can be interesting so I don’t really think that it should affect someone’s opinion too much.
Exactly, I don’t find the sequel trilogy’s story to be all that compelling. And that goes along with what’s already been said: A return to square one (kind of), underutilized (Phasma, Snoke, Poe, Finn) or misused (Hux, Holdo, Finn) characters (even if they’re good characters), and just not being all that interesting, honestly.
