A thread about cell phones, electronics, or smart devices.
My iPhone was overheating and battery dying constantly. Bought a hopefully non-exploding battery on the internet last week. So far, so good. Still not happy with its longevity but I guess that’s smartphones. I resisted until a couple years ago. At least I’m not afraid to go on OT with it 🤓 And that’s all I have to say on the matter.
Ugh. I hate Apple products.
why is that?
Because Apple sacrifices flexibility for ease-of-use. I don’t claim that Apple is altogether horrible but for me I find that Apple products are overpriced for the brand name, use proprietary peripherals (which are similarly overpriced), have a UI that is lacking in (even moderately) advanced configuration, and force the use of the bloatware that is iTunes.
The two main advantages that Apple has are that the standardization of hardware makes software development easier, and the popularity of the brand makes finding peripherals in local stores easier for a specific device.
