Very powerful wording... Take it as it is!

Actually, if you're worried about wording, it's "Who's more foolish, the fool, or the fool who follows him?"

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Speaking of "off-topic" - those of you, guys, who played the "Warcraft" RTS game series from Blizzard know, that they quote or paraphrase SW lines... extensively
I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

100% Vader-type dialogue, marvelous.

Hey, how did you get that as your cell phone ring? I'd love to have Darth Vader breathing and lightsabers as my cell phone ring (or the doink doink sounds from the Law and Order shows)

This gives me goosebumps whenever I see it:

Yoda: "Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship."

Damn those midichlorians. DAMN THEM ALL!!!!

Actually, for most powerful lines, pretty much everything Yoda says in ESB.

In context, have always found this to be pretty effective:

It’s not from the OT, but Qui-Gon says, “Your focus determines your reality.” I often use that phrase to reset myself when I just need to movie on from something.

Where did you dig up this old fossil? XD

Okay but for real it’s ‘do or do not, there is no try.’

Rikter said:

“This is how liberty dies - to thunderous applause.”

Here I go replying to a 16 year old comment. My sister wasn’t even born yet when this comment was made. Damn.

This is a really cool line (above par for the prequels), but it kind of gives me icky vibes. It feels super misanthropic, and so does George Lucas when he talks about the politics in the prequels. It seems like he thinks dictators come to power because people are stupid and get tricked into dying in an authoritarian hellhole. Unfortunately I feel like I have to say that that’s not how the world works.

I kind of like the implication that the Blackened Mantle gives with this line, Padme’s in shock because she’s now realizing why putting up resistance against Palpatine in the Senate was so difficult: They were in his pocket the whole time. They were working with him. He was rigging their elections, or spreading lies, or just generally pulling strings to get them in power, and they did the same to make him into the Emperor.

You knew my father?
Here’s my take on an underappreciated facet of Star Wars and the world for kids in 1977.
There was a huge explosion in divorce in the early 1970’s and society really wasn’t prepared for it.
I’ll give you an example, my parents got divorced and my dad wanted to see our report cards. There were no policies for this sort of thing. He was told the custodial parent got it haveaniceday. Off to court he went, he had a right to see our report cards without going through his ex-wife.
There were a lot of kids growing up largely without dads.
I feel that the scene with Luke and Ben really resonated for a lot of us, even though being 8,9,10, 11 years old we weren’t really consciously aware of it…it spoke to us.
That scene in Ben’s house, when you’re a ten year old kid that’s when you get up to go pee, get some more popcorn, whatever. It’s a slow scene.
“You knew my father?” Yeah, our butts stayed in our seats, Luke was us.

“You and the Naboo form a symbiont circle. What happens to one of you will affect the other. You must understand this.”

I think it’s one of the most often overlooked bits of dialogue as it greatly illustrates how we can’t live without one another and that we’re doomed to fail if we don’t find common ground. I’m not sure it’s the most powerful but it’s definitely one of the most impactful and meaningful.

“Heroes come in all sizes, and you don’t have to be a giant hero. You can be a very small hero. It’s just as important to understand that accepting self-responsibility for the things you do, having good manners, caring about other people - these are heroic acts. Everybody has the choice of being a hero or not being a hero every day of their lives.” - George Lucas

A lot of my favourite Star Wars lines are about the Force.

“My ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us, and binds us… luminous beings are we, not this crude matter! You must feel the force around you: between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere… yes, even between the land and the ship.” - Yoda, TESB

“Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force.” - Yoda, ROTS

“The island. Life. Death, and decay… that feeds new life. Warmth, cold, peace, violence… balance. An energy. A Force… and inside me, that same Force” - Rey, TLJ

And if I may expand it beyond just the movies…

“It matters which side we choose. Even if there will never be more light than darkness. Even if there can be no more joy in the galaxy than there is pain. For every action we undertake, for every word we speak, for every life we touch - it matters. I don’t turn towards the light because it means someday I’ll ‘win’ some sort of cosmic game. I turn towards it because it is the light.” - Qui-gon, Master and Apprentice

“The Jedi teach that life doesn’t cease at death, but merely changes form in the Force. Your parents are alive inside you, Ezra. They will be… always.” - Kanan, Rebels s2 ep10

Obviously I have more, but these are just ones focused on one theme for now.

“Remember, the Force will be with you. Always.”

I have two favorite Star Wars quotes, both from Claudia Gray novels:

Master and Apprentice
“It matters which side we choose. Even if there will never be more light than darkness. Even if there can be no more joy in the galaxy than there is pain. For every action we undertake, for every word we speak, for every life we touch, it matters. I don’t turn toward the light because it means someday I’ll ‘win’ some sort of cosmic game. I turn toward it because it is the light.” - Qui-Gon Jinn

The Fallen Star
“This is what hope is. It isn’t pretending nothing will go wrong if only we try hard enough. It’s looking squarely at the obstacles in the way - knowing the limits of our own power, and the possibility of failure - and moving ahead anyway. That is how we must proceed. With hope." - Stellan Gios

Uncle Owen’s “that’s what I’m afraid of” gives me chills, knowing about the reveal in the next movie; as well as Ben’s explanation of how Luke’s father died. Another chill inducing line is, “You must do what you feel is right of course.”

A line I’ve always loved in Empire I don’t hear people ever mention is after Han hits Lando in the prison cell and he (Lando) says, “I’ve done all I can! I’m sorry I can’t do more but I’ve got my own problems!” To which Han replies as he lies on the ground, struggling to get up, “Yeah, you’re a real hero…”

You’ll laugh! You’ll cry! You’ll kiss three bucks goodbye!
