Thanks MeBe and Laserman. Wow, 8 passes. I wish I had software that could do that. TMPGEnc Plus only allows 2 passes. I plan to use variable bitrate since my goal will be dual layer.

MeBe. I know what you are saying. It took my PC 12 hours to encode roughly one hour of footage. I may try out CCE or Procoder someday, but CCE is expensive.
