sprinkled in with a few random people who are perfectly fine but are either down on their luck or in an area that’s hard to meet people or are just having trouble making the time to meet people.

But then those people will try it only to find that most everybody else on there… Well sucks. Then when they find a profile of a Decent person on there it’s usually abandoned because they gave up also. So then you give up.

It also sucks for different reasons for guys versus girls - girls get bombarded with asshole dudes sending unsolicited dick pics, demanding nudes, and/or being general creeps; while guys don’t ever get messages and, when we try to initiate conversation, are usually either ignored altogether, or have the entire burden of carrying a conversation. The last girl that actually responded to me, I managed to have a conversation with her for about a day before I realized that I was asking all the questions and her responses were all very short answers and a “How about you?” back. So I answered her last “And you?” and then waited for her to ask me something or otherwise carry a bit of the conversation, and…nothing.
Ugh.
