Lost Soul- Fasinating documentary about off-kilter cult director Richard Stanley’s attempts to film Welles’ The Island or Doctor Moreau, which eventually transitioned into the notoriously terrible John Frankheimer film. The whole production spiraled so far out of control that it’s almost comical and sad at the same time. A look an indie outsider who got caught up in the Hollywood studio system machine. Arguably a much more interesting story than the mess of a film.
