If I were into guns I’d be mad at the NRA in general, not just Nugent.

My point was that it sounds like a mechanism for squashing all dissenting debate. The very act of discussing a change to a law could be labeled “promoting” illegal activity, and all involved with running the forum where the discussion took place could be criminally charged. That sounds rather patently un-American to me. A dangerous precedent.
It’s dangerous but there have been other things similar to this done to attempt to police the internet. It is usually done under the guise of fighting sexual exploitation (e.g. human trafficking or child pornography) but in reality doesn’t combat that issue and only serves to threaten people that are not guilty of those crimes.
The Person in Question
I feel like anyone reporting what Ted Nugent says as though it has any relevance in the world is doing a disservice to both sides of the debate.

He’s an NRA board member.

My point stands.

Not really. The NRA is a major voice in this debate, like it or not, and Nugent is one of their most notorious associates.
The Person in Question
Sure but his being a nutjob and the NRA not denouncing his nutjobbity doesn’t really have any bearing on weather or not guns are good or bad, it just strikes me as more polarization for polarization’s sake. That was the crux of my point, there.

Oh believe me, I’m no NRA fan in any sense of the word.

It’s comparable to how the Trump campaign refused to denounce David Duke or the alt-right. I think it’s worth mentioning.
The Person in Question
Quick reminder of how Trump is most certainly NOT better than LBJ.

I hope his golf courses all have giant gophers that dance to Kenny Loggins.
Where were you in '77?
Wait, didn’t he want to help dreamers? (though I assume he lied about that, myself)
I guess that’s another thing we can add to his list of hypocrisy.
Wait, didn’t he want to help dreamers?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Yeah, I don’t remember that ever being in his platform.
The Person in Question
his platform.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
“Platform” should’ve had almost a billion more quotation marks around it.

This might have been brought up already, but it bears repeating:

This is a (mostly) great article exposing right-wing hack and self-help author Jordan Peterson. It has some stupid stuff in it like attributing Peterson’s fanbase to “white male privilege being under attack” when I think that’s giving them too much credit, I think they’re probably just socially inept desperate for some kind of intellectual authority to agree with their politics. Overall though it’s great.

Jordan Peterson’s only response to it was “I’d slap you.” What a joke this man is.

If they’re going to actually follow through with this, then they might as well just get rid of the agency altogether.

Yet another assault on our freedoms from the current regime.
