The idea that every Oscar winner is chosen based solely on political agendas is one of my least favorite semi-conspiracy theories.
Not all of them, but that one for sure.
Difference between personal preferences and a larger political agenda. If Brokeback had won people would’ve been saying that it won because of the gay agenda. Doesn’t make it true.
In that case it wouldn’t have been true, but it was definitely a very calculated anti-gay agenda that kept it from winning.
