IMO

TLJ hot take time!

Like…have you actually seen the TCW movie?

Of course, or I would not have listed it. It is a bad movie, hence it’s low ranking.

I believe what he’s really asking is how you could rate it higher than TLJ.

Animatronics like the ones created for the cristal wolves but never used in the finished movie and then in full CGI ?

There’s no way they could’ve used the crystal fox animatronics in the film. You can see them using the fathier animatronics in behind the scenes and it’s easy to tell as much from the film itself.

The animatronic foxes are seen in the film. You couldn’t really expect them to use an practical creature for when they are walking/ running. The Canto Bight Fathiers are fully animatronic ( no cg enhancements) when in the stables and in close ups. They only used CG for the running ones.

They are? I can’t recall any moments where they aren’t moving.

I don’t mind them at all when they’re in the stables, I’m talking about when Rose and Finn are “riding” them.

Carrie Poppin’s

Can we not?

Precisely.

Although, I will say it did remind me that I dislike the CGI there too because they decided for some reason to try and make her look much younger and it really stands out. I mean, in the close up, why do it there? Just film her!

No…

I just watched that scene last night, so it’s definitely not a case of me not remembering. The close up on her when she’s floating in space (right before she wakes up) looks super fake. If it’s not fake I’d be astounded.

I think i saw the specific scene in the ‘The Director and the Jedi’ documentary for a brief moment. You can see Rian Johnson looking at a small screen showing Carrie Fisher in a close up. I guess it’s not fake but heavily digitally manipulated.

Rogue One is redundant. Just play the first mission of DARK FORCES.

I also just watched it last night. There are obvious CG alterations but I don’t think it’s completely fake, nor are they trying to “make her look younger.” Think the idea was just to give her a slight frost.

It looks to me like they tried to make her look younger. But whatever, IMO she looks completely different in that shot than in the rest of the movie, however they did it or whatever their intention was. And it looks bad.

Old Frink need glasses. She looks pretty much the same. Trying to make her look younger doesn’t even make sense, there’d be no reason for that. Not to mention you see her hands and they look pretty old.

I’m talking about her face, not her hands.

Let me try again:

She looks different than in the rest of the film, IN MY OPINION, and I think it looks bad, IN MY OPINION. If you think I need glasses, that’s your opinion.

Objectively your opinion is wrong, and everyone reading this knows I’m right.

  7. Revenge of the Sith

It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher
