Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018)
A pretty fun ride. It’s not quite as good as the first but I commend them for staying true to the spirit of the original. The only thing that really drags it down is their reliance on the kid genius trope toward the beginning. Thankfully it’s not overdone and the rest of the film carries its own weight. Hopefully Guillermo will return if they decide to do a third entry.
So it’s not just another entry in the Transformers film (term used losely) series?
I find that hard to believe.
I’ve got no faith in the film, but it’s ties to the original Pacific Rim should be enough to keep it from falling that low…
Then again, the PT’s ties to the OT should have been enough to do the same…
