I present the first rescored scene in the edit. This is the scene of Kylo pleading for Rey to join him. The track I chose to rescore the scene with is the second half of “Anakin’s Dark Deeds” (non-orchestral section) from the episode three soundtrack.
I love the emotion that it adds and I feel it fits perfectly. Tell me what you all think!
I usually do NOT like rescores for a number of reasons — namly because fanedits try to place more emphasis on the new music than the existining content — but this actually fits pretty well. My main takeaways:
- It’s too loud. The dialog needs to be the forefront.
- It’s too long. The big crescendo at the end needs to come before Hux starts talking. You’re going to have to cut the song somewhere in the middle and piece it together, I think.
