Call Me By Your Name (2017)
I smuggled this into my house and watched it tonight. I don’t know how I feel about it. The cinematography is frequently gorgeous, the actors are great, and of course any kind of gay story is catharsis for me, but I’m still not quite sure how I feel about this. It seemed like a long daydream, for better or worse.
Never thought of it that way but I’ve found most of my relationships to have that sort of odd yet beautiful daydreaming quality to them. Definitely appreciated that aspect of the film, felt very emotionally authentic in many ways.
